It turns out, I am a 2nd generation blogger!

Back in the dark ages of technology (otherwise known as the 1990s), there was a special, printed information source known as a newsletter...
These newsletters were filled with information pertaining to whatever organization (or family) was sending them out and articles.
Basically, they were the printed version of blogs.
When my parents started their private school for homeschoolers in 1995, my mother started one such newsletter for the school. And, she had her very own column known as Appleseeds.

Appleseeds was filled with stories and poems which were thought-provoking and usually humorous.
It was about homeschooling from the perspective of the mama, and it was very popular with the families in the school.

As a nod to my writing role model, my mummy, I want to share with you one of my favorite poems she wrote for Appleseeds.

Just keep swimming' y'all,
Kari Erdly
