Sometimes it is a great idea to look into what the vision for a particular publisher is and see if it matches your vision as well.

We have been writing a few different things here and there, but our passion is to create an amazing reading curriculum.

This is a life subject, not exactly a school subject! In our eyes, it far outweighs anything else you need for your child.

Reading and Language Arts are essential to teaching your child to read and communicate in their own language. Pay close attention to what learning method your child responds to best. You want them to love reading!

Math is an amazing subject, but it also ranks as one of the hardest. Take your time and pick out a curriculum you feel comfortable with teaching and that also keeps your student engaged. Help them to love math. It matters a lot.

History is a very over looked subject because it is falsely put into the category “social studies.” Do not be fooled by such nonsense. History matters and the way we teach it is of great importance. Do not let HIS STORY be muddled.

Science, which means “knowledge,” is a tricky subject. I wish it wasn’t. But, depending on your worldview, it can be very much so. Be diligent in knowing the worldview of the publisher! It will have a serious effect on your child’s worldview without a doubt.

Apologetics and Evangelism is where the worldview you instill in your child gets its legs for running. You want them to know what they believe (worldview), be able to defend and explain their beliefs (apologetics), and tell the world about Jesus (evangelism).

Okay, so electives is the catch all for things that do not have another place elsewhere.
Foreign Language.
Art.
Typewriting.
(Is that still a thing?)
Music.
And there is probably a whole bunch I am missing.
